Living with physical pain.

This morning I read a story of Calvin Eaton, I quote “a twenty-six-year-old special educator and writer. In the fall of 2010, I was diagnosed with the debilitating illnesses of Fibromyalgia and Degenerative Bone Disease.” – from Calvin’s website. To live every day in pain – unimaginable! Check out his website!

Calvin’s story made me remember how when I was about 37-38 I started noticing that joins in my hands would get “tired” achy and fatigued. Ones I was be taking relatively small lightweight boxes to a recycling bin and after caring them for about 100ft my hands and my fingers got so tired that I had to put the boxes down and rest. I would have the same symptoms of tiredness and aching in my hands’ joints while eating! I was not able to hold a spoon or a fork for the duration of a meal.

Honestly, I did not think much of it. I think we have a tendency of discounting many unusual symptoms on age. Hey, I am not 20 anymore, so no wonder things start feeling funny, right? And it was not a major symptom, but a very subtle one.

Usually, I am your perfect patient. I come to my physical examination with a list of questions, symptoms, observation I have made. If there is something that in my opinion needs an immediate attention I go straight to the doctor. I follow doctors instruction to a T and truly do respect and listen to my doctors.

My joint discomfort (it never has gotten to the point of an actual pain thanks to my wonderful Dr 🙂 was mentioned in passing to Dr. Mincolla. Dr. Mincolla is a natural health care practitioner who has literally brought me back to good health and probably saved my life but most definitely extended it. Dr. Mincolla has stopped my lichen planopilaris and lichen planus, is a rare inflammatory autoimmune disease from spreading, a disease that was untreatable and unstoppable according to conventional medicine. If not for Dr. Mincolla I would lose most of my hair permanently by now, would have a plethora of infections, allergies, and diseases due to a huge amount of food sensitivities that he has discovered, inflammation that he helped me eliminate as well as taking care of this hand “thing” I’ve developed.

This is the one I buy from Vitacost and it works for me

So at one of my bimonthly visits (I was on a treatment plan, hence visiting him more often than most), I have mentioned to Dr. Mincolla my hands, as by that time I was suspecting this may be a sign of arthritis. He told me to take DLPA supplement and that it would take a few days to see any difference. Surely enough, and I did not even buy an expensive brand, in a few days there was no discomfort in my hands whatsoever. Interestingly, I ran out of the supplement and did not take it for over a month just to start noticing that those tired, achy sensation in my joints have come back.

I now try not to miss my DLPA doses and also have learned that DLPA may relieve certain types of chronic pain, including muscle aches and persistent arthritis-related pain, ease depression, enhance concentration in attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and relieve some other symptoms. I like this article DLPA: Natural Relief for Chronic Pain from American Fitness Professionals and Associates website, it provides some good information, including dosage.

To your Health!
