Berry-Rich Diet Credited With One-Third Drop in MI Risk

MI (Myocardial infarction) is commonly known as a heart attack!

Diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, I became obsessed with finding a perfect “multivitamin”. Now 3 years later, through Institute for Integrative Nutrition where I am studying to be an integrative nutritionist and a health coach, I’ve found it!

When I was told about it, I could not believe that it is known around the world, was an official nutritional support for the German, Swiss and Austrian teams training for the 2012 Olympics and I have never even heard about it!

Juice Plus+ have YOU heard about it?

vinyard_blendWell the best part is that now, I see the evidence, that switching to Juice Plus from synthetic multivitamins was the best decision I could have ever made. Juice Plus has vegetable and fruit capsules, which sold together – Juice Plus+® Orchard and Garden Blend. Plus they have Juice Plus+ Vineyard Blend or as I call it “berries” – nutrition from Concord grapes and a wide variety of berries  – including blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, bilberries, and elderberries – that provide some of nature’s most powerful and healthful antioxidants, in convenient capsule form!!!!

Berries! And  my family and I are fortunate enough to be taking this daily! Now the title of the post makes more sense, doesn’t it? Well…I guess it may not, in which case please read the actual article (link below) about the latest studies where:

“A diet rich in anthocyanins, a class of flavonoids with recognized heart-friendly antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, was associated with a 32% drop in the risk of incident MI in a cohort of >93 000 women from the Nurses’ Health Study 2”

Anthocyanins are water-soluble vacuolar pigments found in berries, and MI stands for a heart attack! Need I say more?!

Please read the full article below and try to add more berries to you diet or if you live in New England, as I do, and are questioning the freshness of imported berries, as I do. – just hit me up for some Juice Plus “berry” goodness 🙂
