This is my 82-year-old father. Unfortunately, he has late-stage Parkinson's disease. For the past couple of years, he has deteriorated, both physically and mentally, at a steady and increasingly rapid rate. During the past few months, he had become almost completely disabled. He was unable to stand without falling, he couldn't get up out of a chair or couch, and he certainly wasn't able to walk (even with a walker). His cognition had also significantly declined. He had lost his personality, his sense of humor, and the ability to participate in a simple conversation. He had also forgotten how to do such things as to turn on and use the computer and TV.
My father's neurologists and doctors had informed us when he was first diagnosed with Parkinson's that he, like all Parkinson's patients, would experience a steady decline in functioning and that there was nothing, medication or otherwise, that could stop or reverse the decline. The only hope was that the decline might be slowed somewhat by the medication that was prescribed to him. Not surprisingly, none of his doctors had suggested that diet might impact his symptoms, either positively or negatively.
Although I have been on a carnivore diet for almost a year and have experienced many physical and mental health benefits from this way of eating, I believed all of the medical experts that nothing, including diet, could help my father's condition, so I hadn't tried to convince him to change his diet (which has always been rich in carbs and sugar). I figured that he's suffering enough, at least he should be able to enjoy his donuts and ice cream.
But about two months ago, I could no longer keep my mouth shut and told my parents my belief that my father's low-cholesterol, low-fat diet (which had been prescribed to him by his doctor 30 years ago) was responsible for his brain becoming malnourished and inflamed and that this had caused or contributed to him developing Parkinson's disease. I suggested that my father eat mostly fatty beef, eggs, liver, and butter, and that he cut down on the amount of grains, sugar, and seed oils that he consumes.

I can not believe people still drink this garbage daily... Like maybe if my stomach feels funny and I am not home to take homeopathic stuff, I may have a sip of ginger ale, even the shitty one from a can, not the good one made with real ginger and real sugar...
But to buy this and actually drink it like it's water... Today! When all the information and research is available to show just what garbage this is... I just don't know. No wonder every one is sick ☹️ #Repost @metabolic_mike

Don’t blame cow-farts 🐄 for what Coca-cola and Pepsi did!
It’s sickening to think about how destructive consumers of soda are: from the water and pesticides used to grow the corn sugar, to fuel required to ship this crap across the globe and keeping it cold to the costs associated with medically managing diseases created by the idiots who drink it AND the loss of productivity associated being sick from mainlining liquid sugar. 🤬🤬 As a libertarian, I don’t care what people do as long as it doesn’t negatively affect me or others. Since drinking soda fast-tracks diabetes, a very expensive condition medically speaking that, we’re all affected via increased insurance premium costs.
Soda drinkers also affect others in negative ways. While surfing in Bali Indonesia a few years back, the wave were filled with Coke and Pepsi bottles—they would literally brush up on your shoulders and arms will in the water—was just wrong.
What’s worse, the warm sun ☀️ plus constant friction created by the waves bumping into bottles creates micro plastic that end up in fish, sea food and beyond.
Meanwhile everyone is myopically focused on how meat eaters are ruining the planet 🌎!? #cola #cokeacola #pepsi #plastic #vegan #environmentallyfriendly #environment #keto #carnivore #carnivorediet #fasting #realfood #wholefood
Scary what we feed our babies 😬
I thank God that with many mistakes I've made unknowingly raising my kids, one I avoided was formula instead of breast milk.

Can you believe this crap 💩 is even legal?
A family member was recommended this ‘infant formula’ while breast milk production was ramping up for a newborn baby.
I had a look at the ingredients and about fainted. Industrial seed oils replaced dairy milk fat; yet the box had slick marketing promoting it’s, “...backed by decades of research on breast milk and multiple clinical studies on its brain building nutrition.” The perception for those who don’t know much about nutrition is this stuff is actually healthy for human development. 🤦🏽♀️ The box claimed, “...experts have called our most significant advancement in formula since DHA, scientists have isolated Milk Fat Globule Membrane (MFGM) from cow’s milk, a 3-layered membrane that supports brain development.” So even though it’s loaded omega-6 industrial seed oils and nonfat milk, they advertise it’s rich in some brain-building omega-3 like compound?? Hmm... Very disappointed the FDA allows this deceptive marketing to be written on a product intended to be used for children.
